This is a 25 page color tutorial on how to work with stringer to decorate glass beads. The tutorial is geared toward the novice beadmaker, but has good info for intermediates as well. In this tutorial, you will learn to pull two different kinds of stringer, and apply them in different ways to your base beads. Some designs discussed include scrolling, corkscrew, framed cube, wrapped cube and more. All glass used in this tutorial is 104 COE. To be successful with this tutorial, you should have the following skills:
Making a round base bead
Dexterity with small tools
Be somewhat comfortable with the torch flame
Also useful, but not absolutely necessary is the ability to apply dots.
